Suzuki Gixxer SF has borrowed a lot of front styling cues from Hayabusa.

Suzuki Motorcyles India is gearing up to replicate the success of its 150cc segment motorcycle Gixxer by launching a faired version of it called the ‘Suzuki Gixxer SF’. A lot of images of the SF have been available on the internet and from what we can see, Gixxer SF has borrowed a lot of styling cues from naked Gixxer and front styling cues from Hayabusa.

Gixxer SF officially unveiling on 7th April in India. Suzuki Motorcycles in India is known for bikes which have left a mark on the face of Indian motorcycle scene now and then. Before Suzuki re-entered Indian market, motorcycles like Samurai, Shaolin and Fiero from its first stint were one of the bests in their respective segment.

But the broken ties with TVS made Suzuki re-enter the Indian two wheeler market independently, although it did take them a few years to get back to the Indian shores but eventually they did. Their Initial products failed to get them the glory their previous bikes did. Then came the Access 125 which in real terms re-established Suzuki Motorcycles in India, but then the success in motorcycle segment was still nowhere to be seen.

GS150, Zeus, Inazuma none of the bikes Suzuki India were as successful as they expected till the time they launched the Gixxer 155 Suzuki Gixxer SF is primarily focusing on competing against the Yamaha R15 which has done quite good in the Indian motorcycle market and has been updated recently. Suzuki Gixxer impressed many with its brilliant 154.9 cc engine which produces 14.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and torque of 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm, best in the class ride, handling and fuel efficiency and this will give the Gixxer SF an edge over the R15 for sure.

Already on the production line, Suzuki is planning on launching the bike real soon. Bike would be placed around 10-15 thousand above the naked Gixxer and the pricing would play a very important role for it to be a success like its naked counterpart.
