Volkswagen unveiled the T-Roc back in 2017 at an event near Lake City Como, Italy. The T-Roc is a compact crossover based on the MQB platform and is positioned under the Tiguan in the company’s product range. The model is expected to debut at the 2020 Auto Expo followed by the launch later in the year.
Dimension wise, the Volkswagen T-Roc measures 4,234mm in length, 1,819mm in width and 1,573mm in height while the wheelbase is rated at 2,603mm. The boot space of the model stands at 445 litres, which can be increased to 1,290 litres by folding the second row of seats.
Internationally, Volkswagen offers the Tiguan in three trims including Standard, Style and Sport. Powertrain options on the model include three petrol units and two diesel units. The India-spec model is expected to receive the 1.5-litre petrol motor paired to the seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Upon launch, the T-Roc will rival against the likes of the Jeep Compass and the upcoming Skoda Karoq.
