2020 Mahindra Thar delivery details
Due to the excellent response the second-generation Thar received, Mahindra dealers and customers have been notified that waiting periods will now range between five and seven months, depending on the variant.
However, there’s good news for at least 500 buyers who have already booked the new Thar. The brand has plans to deliver over 500 units during the coming Diwali weekend.
2020 Mahindra Thar production to increase
Mahindra has also announced that, in order to meet demand, it will ramp up production of the Thar 4×4. The capacity to be set aside for the 2020 Thar’s production will increase by over 30 percent, from 2,000 units a month to 3,000. The SUV specialist hopes to achieve this increase by January 2021.
For now, the Thar is absolutely unique with no direct rivals. Come 2021, Mahindra’s 4×4 will see competition from the next-gen Force Gurkha and the 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
