Volkswagen has announced the prices of the Taigun for the Indian market. The new mid-size SUV is priced similar to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Skoda Kushaq.

Volkswagen India’s first car to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform has been launched. The prices for the Volkswagen Taigun start at Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line GT trim level, equipped with a 148bhp 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, is priced at Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Volkswagen India has confirmed that the Taigun has already received 12,221 pre-bookings within a month.

For reference, the Skoda Kushaq, which is based on the same MQB-A0-IN platform as the Volkswagen Taigun, is priced between Rs 10.51 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
